Because books.

The footage is devastating. I can't even imagine.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good luck, Juliebird.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Now my neighbor is using the garage door down below to play kickball. Not cool.

This and the headless bunny suggest a two birds/one stone opportunity.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Thanks, Kate! Everyone at work has been wishing me a swell day off tomorrow, and I just couldn't take it anymore and fessed up to a second coworker, who in turn confessed that her two vacation days off was for breast surgery (benign mass!), and we both felt bad for using another coworker as the dumping grounds for all of our problems (mutual coworker was the one who helped me get my car out of impound, and I still owe her 60 bucks because she wouldn't take the full payback when I handed it to her) and I couldn't bring myself to tell her in her exhausted worried state about all the other shit in her life that my drama continued.

Boss was asking me when I was going to put in for vacation days, which I can't do until I can find out if I can even travel (or need to add in extra time to account for needing to take trains).

Oh, too late, but how hilariously awful that would have been!

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

No storms to deal with tonight, thank goodness, but I had an unwelcome visitor: [link]

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Cindy,

my friend teaches at Univ of OK in Norman, so I figure she has a lot on her mind. I am comfortable waiting for awhile, but I will start calling the university if I don't hear in 1-2 days.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow, Juliebird, and crossing my fingers hard!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Sending out the good vibes for you, Juliebird.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I had an unwelcome visitor: [link]

We had those in the basement of the house I grew up in. Mostly in the closet under the stairs, which is where we would take shelter during tornadoes, of course.
