I'm glad everyone's okay, Sox. Take care of youse!
Good finance vibes to you, sarameg, and to you as well, Steph.
xkcd did GeoGuessr today:
Seriously, is xkcd one of us?
So lunch today began as salami and almonds and a bit of cucumber salad, but when it was clear that wasn't enough I followed it up with spinach salad with fennel, mushrooms, and chicken. I figure I'm not trying to lose weight so I really should eat when I'm hungry, right? I had two breakfasts too, so I guess today I'm a hobbit, a low-carb hobbit.
I have done some actual work today. minimal, but still, actual work. And I talked with my boss and we are all good and now I have keys.
Timelies all!
Starting to feel like May, just in time for it to be June. Weather. :shrugs:
I'm waiting to hear back from one of my big clients regarding the initial estimate for the huge annual project I do with them. This is always a little nerve wracking and one of the only places where I'm not good at being super patient. This really does set my budget for about half of my work year, and it's always a lot of prep to get things ready to submit, and then I just want an answer.
Yay for the good day, msbelle!
And big project~ma to you, Drew.
stay off the Internet people. The Oklahoma tornado stuff is really really bad.
really really.
no shit.
I want to go home.
le nubian are you in OK? I just came here to check and see if there were 'istas there. Please stay safe. The news footage from Moore, OK is devastating.
edited because what is "fottage"
oh yeah, I'm ok. I was better before I saw the news!
I hate tornadoes anyway, and this was just too much.
I hope everyone's caught up on TV finales, because there is some severe storm action in the season wrapups that's going to trigger like a mofo.
xkcd totally lurks here. You know this to be true deep in your internetty hearts. Come out and play!
I think I may have to post this chart in my office: [link] because as an ex coder who now does fairly mundane office work it is always, always supremely tempting to automate whatever trivial task I'm currently obsessing over. And then the next six hours are gone while I tweak the code to make it just a little bit more efficient.
