Strix, did you use Google, or no? I want to be fair when I lose horribly.

I'm now hooked on geoguessr. Got.within 5 km when I saw a bus with the words, "Alice Springs." But I think I'm proudest when I got within 200km from only a sign that said "Sportsmen's Paradise." (I guessed the middle of Louisiana, but it was on the Gulf.). Lesson -- it's amazing what trivia helps.
On the other hand, I once guessed in South Africa when I was actually in Nova Scotia.
11916! Dammit, now I'm hooked. Guessing Gallup, AZ, from the logo on a passing truck got me over 4000 points. Then I got two scrubby forests and downtown Osaka. Forests? Tend to look alike.
Not even looking at the Geoguessr. I am confident that, 1) I don't have enough hours in my day and 2) I would suck at this.
I am however, enjoying the play by play competition.
I'm not looking things up but I just got 6406 for getting within a few blocks of the picture. I was trying to eliminate - it looks tropical. It looks like it might be in the US, and I pan around and there's a not every well hidden sign for the Key West Art History Museum.
Steph -- Hell, yeah, I used Google!
With Google on your challenge, I got 22000-something. Part of that was the amusement park one, Tim looked at the very first shot of it and said "Busch Gardens."
Me: "What? How do you know?"
Him: "I was there. Just try it."
Sure enough. Damn prodigy.
Yeah, I went with the wrong Busch Gardens. Was very irritated. But my new score...I WORKED on that one!
Apparently I can't tell the difference between Botswanna and Arizona out in the middle of nowhere with no signs and mountains in the distance.
Well, I thought Finland was Korea, so don't feel bad.
