Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

That moving ice was freaky. Would not be happy to have ice crawling up my yard.

Someone with artsing ability should go carve Zan the Wonder Twin on there.

MR. PEABODY, CUT THAT OUT!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Mr. Peabody slipped out of his collar while we were just supposed to be getting the mail. He led me on a 40-minute chase that I was not in shape for. At the end, he ran home and ran inside. Little devil.

Bad Peabody, bad!

I think I keep critters indoors in fear of these things. Well and because I know that where I live the night is dark and full of terrors.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Have I mentioned that my neighborhood is very hilly?

Apparently what I need to get in my aerobic exercise is a chase-the-terrier workout app.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Yeah, you're not going to win that game too often. He was toying with you.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I got 10427. I wasn't doing too badly until the last one. It was a long empty road with nothing but sparse scrub around. The only thing I could tell was that they were driving on the left. I clicked a random spot in Africa. It was actually Western Australia.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I got 7/10 on a Prof or Hobo quiz. And I have a tech screen phone interview today that I'd very much like to ace.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

There was a jewel theft at Cannes.

I think I saw a movie about this once.

In other news, a friend of mine, mother of a strong contender for the Cutest Baby in the World title, is having her baby baptized this Sunday. It's an Episcopalian ceremony. I grew up Methodist, so I was wondering if there was anything I needed to know. Should I bring a card? A gift? Just a willingness to sing "Jerusalem"?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

How are you getting cities?

Those were the only two. I got a couple small towns, but outpost Wyoming? I'm still thinking Wild West re-enactment, and I got a Big Winch which would have tipped off your average Australian, I guess, but all I could tell was that the parking lot didn't look like it had a lot of American cars.

Otherwise, long dusty roads that are in South Africa that I think are in Australia and vice versa, and also that bridge over the mucky tropical river was Brazil, not Nigeria.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

14051 points. It was a pretty easy selection: one in Norway (Moose Crossing sign), one in France, one on the Italian-Swiss border, one in Japan. And then one in Australia with a sign giving the region (Pilbara).
