Natter 71: Someone is wrong on the Internet
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Brad Pitt playing all the roles (possibly NOT Claudia) would have been awesome.
Not Claudia. I was actually impressed with Kirsten Dunst. She rocked a totally creepy role as a kid. But the rest? Brad Pitt.
I think there could be a version where he plays most characters and I've have totally gone for it.
One that we have developed shorthand for!
That is just me getting *really* flappy handed probably. I am invested. I really think he could have portrayed several characters and I'd have been happy.
He'd have rocked most of them, I swear.
Any chance it got left at work?
nope--realized I didn't have it before I got there.
I am pretty sure it's somewhere obvious, laughing at me, but I requested a replacement anyway, since who knows when I will find it.
I remember disliking the casting of Antonio Banderas for Armand, but I don't remember who I wanted in that role. I had such strong opinions on it at the time.
Just finished rewatching LFN, the series, through the season four finale. I actually still like the twist. What was the view of fandom at the time? I gather it was outraged.
Coat pocket? Where is the last place you know you used it? Ok, you called in for a replacement...I just know it drives me nuts when I can't figure out something like that.
Is that the twist about the family relationship? I seem to recall a lot of vitriol on that topic, much of it from me.
Aha. Right. When Walking Dead actors appear on other shows, and do stuff like stand near a closed door, it makes me want to yell at them to find better cover.
My sister got mad at a Dexter plot turn, so she's cheating on them with Walking Dead based entirely on an article on a S2 actor that I sent her.
She crazy.
I am going to wf this, but if it is not a spoiler, I don't want the convo in wf.
The twist is that Nikita was working as an inside source since s.2 for Mick/Mr. Jones. She evaluates the whole crew in the season/previously series finale.

I still have strong opinions, which I admit is a bit silly. Antonio Banderas did a fine job, I'm just going to be perpetually cranky that movie!Armand is not the same as book!Armand. I wanted petulant, disdainful, perpetually-teenaged Armand.
Right! I blocked that because it wasn't as annoying as the one last "twist" but it wasn't fun either. I like a good retcon that doesn't weaken anything that preceded it. Like, you should get at least more out of rewatching, definitely not much less.
And I think that choice took the heart out of Nikita and didn't replace it with anything fun or satisfying.
Then again, I just came here from writing an anon summation of why TVD and I shall never even hatefuck. I need to roll around in Community for a while. So much less dissent there.
I have not been to Gawker in a while, but for some reason clicked on this which is clearly all the proof Denton needs to support his last format change.
Worked BRILLIANTLY.
I really wish my sleep doctor had refilled my script...::sigh::
