Kaylee: Can I? Zoe: Sure. He's out, though. Kaylee: He did this for me, once.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

That's gorgeous, Bev. I love that kind of skill sharing.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Lyrebird

Anyone else want to play Star Wars sound effects for that bird?

My faux-livestrong bands have never failed me before.

That's what I use.

I have also been laughed at by a parrot.

Parrots like to tease. I used to work near a pet store that had a parrot who would wolf whistle at my BFF and immediately turn his back on her. He would ignore her if she talked to him but as soon as she'd walk away he'd whistle again. He always greeted me with a hello but refused to say goodbye until my last day at that job.

What does S-slash-M stand for?"

Hahahaha!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

HOLY CRAP, I entered that living room at the speed of light, to find, thank all that's merciful, that she was looking at a box of small-to-medium overnight diapers.

"Oh, it's the diapers."
"Yeah, some guy on an S/M site was giving advice for uses of them. So I was wondering what was S/M and what do they do with diapers?"

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Parrots like to tease.

Oh dear god yes. The wild parrots around here are awful with the teasing and taunting.

The Lena Horne just died thing continues unabated, but this picture of her is lovely. [link]

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Norman Reedus question:

  • Is Dary's haircut the one you think of when you visualise him: [link] ?
  • Do you prefer it to a shorter look: [link] ?
  • Do you think he's attractive?
  • Why or why not?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I don't know who that is, but I don't think he's attractive. Too Greasy

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I don't think stills really do him justice.

Except maybe this [link] Or, hello [link] But he does seem to favor the greasy look.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I think his character is sexy: [link]

I like him a little dirty. He's competent, he developed compassion, he works with the group. He can be kind of an ass, but he's being a decent human. He's leaderr-material, and he's a motherfuckin badass with those guns. He's not pretty. But he's compelling to me; dirty-sexy but still likeable at the core.

My attempts at sleeping until the alarm at least went off were foiled by a burrowing Loki. CAT.

Our wings are not tired.

Happy Mother's Day to all those called by that name, as well as all of my fellow Buffistas male and female that I know to mother and nurture on a regular basis.

in car thoughts... I love my Lincoln hybrid, but I got better mileage with my Jetta TDI. And VW handling is quite nice too. The hybrid thing is lovely and gains me access to HOV. So there is that.
