Sorry, Cass.
Up before the *$!! alarm. Solo marketing, so I'm headed out and hoping to avoid any showers.

Oh, Cass. I'm so sorry. And Anne too - way too much sadness going around these days.
It's the season I buy too much at market: local asparagus, 'shrooms, first strawberries from my hippy viking farmers, spinach AND a tricolor 4 pack of loebelia. And of course empanadas! Still, for $30, not bad.
Pumpkin is alternating between molesting me and Loki.
Time to do the driving errands.
I love my vet. She was in the office at 7 am and had good information on how to make it easier for the little guy to eat (raise the food dish, shape the wet food into little balls that he can nom up without engaging the tongue).
What was so sad and scary was seeing that he was hungry but couldn't figure out how to get the yummy food into his mouth.
Oh Cass. Oh Anne. So much love.
Oh, poor sweet Jeeves. Much love to him and you, Anne.
I'm so sorry, Cass.
Poor kitty. I hope the vet's advice helps. And poor Anne, that's really hard, to see them struggling and not be able to fix it.
The mockingbirds do all those calls to intimidate All The Birds, so it makes sense they'd throw in a couple cat sounds as well. It must be exhausting to be one, the one in my neighborhood calls all day and I've certainly heard it in the night, too.
There's one that sits on the telephone pole at the corner of my backyard and sings and sings and sings until he fills up with music and just has to leap into the air, wings spread, not to fly away, just a short hop up and glide down, still singing all the while. It is a joy to see.
It does not, afaict, keep other birds away. But it's dang impressive.
Timelies all!
I'm sorry, Cass.
I'm sorry, Anne.
