Just troubleshot a student's cigar box guitar and got it working, whoot! One mistake was his (he'd reversed the legs on the potentiometer) and one was mine (I didn't see that the jack had two legs instead of one, so I had him soldering the hot lead to the ground). But it's fixed and working and sounds great now! He did a good job.
I have other students whose guitars I'm going to have to finish, because I've just run out of time. I really wish I could get them to do it, but I also want them to walk away with their guitars, and we only have one more session this year.

Done with work. Only ended up with 26 hours of OT...will get paid for 24 hours of those. Next week HAS to be more normal.

What are people doing this weekend?
Shindig tonight that I really might ditch because it's one of those events where it's like a room full of toddlers who are all hyped up and don't have inside voices or personal bubbles...and THEN you give them Mountain Dew and Skittles. I don't even have the spoons to cope with the shenanigans.
Bridal shower (for someone else, not me) tomorrow afternoon at a fancy-pants restaurant. I should make sure my fancy pants (or skirt) are ironed. Maybe Gatsby tomorrow night.
