Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Kat, I just watched that through your link on Facebook. It's charming.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

It is charming. It's like a sweet drunk thing as opposed to mocking the drunk lady.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I think the effort involved in animating the joke totally makes up for any implied mocking in the recording and posting of it.

Not effort, I mean, the way it's animated. It's cute!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I thought it was charming too. Like laughing at a tipsy Jillian, not your uncle who drinks too much every nught and gets not slightly racist.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh my god, Frank -- how terrible! I'm glad you are OK, and hope most of your stuff is, too.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I'm hoping they'll give me the all-clear to get back in today. I got a cursory look when they let me get a bag together for overnight and what I registered was "could be a hell of a lot worse". But I'm not looking forward to being in that smoke stench for the next several days.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, Frank, how awful! I'm so so glad you're all right! So sorry about your landlord. I hope you can get the living situation fixed and get your stuff back soon.

Gah, fire is my worst nightmare. Thank goodness there were people about.

I'm glad you are ok. I'm terribly sorry about your landlord.

There are companies whose whole business is getting the smoke stink out of anything. Insurance folk will know. A coworker whose parents dealt with similar went out and bought a week's worth of 'fresh' clothing for her parents' temp housing, kept a set of smokey clothing for actually having to deal with the property, and just bundled the rest off for someone else to clean.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

That's terrible, Frank. I'm so sorry about your landlord. Please give us updates when you can and remember you always have a virtual home.

There is a process to remove the smoke smell. When my friend's house burned, the fire took out the kitchen and den, but fortunately spared her books. They reeked of smoke, though, and her insurance paid for thousands of books to be desmoked.
