Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My father is chattier than ever in public, even though he has trouble putting a full sentence together -- he has as much trouble walking by someone without interacting.

Some of Hubby's issues is that he often stays home all day, either from pain or not having a reason to go out. (Thank god we got two cars so he can wander off when he wants.) He loved running the game store because he could chat about stuff he loved all day. His chattiness is why he's a great salesman.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Glad for the good news, Dana.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It has taken me this long to wake up properly. I am...it's not a good day, and I'm not working from home. I'm just flat out. And scheduled to have a nasty infusion tonight, but I refuse to project how I'll feel tomorrow.

Ugh ita, I hope life cuts you a break soon.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm so sorry, ita. I hope the infusion is in aid of better days to come.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm sorry, ita. May the infusion go well.

Yo, Zenkitty's cat. Those are only thoughts arising in your head, you do not have to share them with Zen. To be inside and want to be outside is suffering. To be outside and want to be inside is suffering. Be here now. Good kitty.

Thank you, -t. He has calmed down and is now watching the outside world through the lattice. He is in Kitty Yoga "Meatloaf" pose.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Yay for no cancer in other places! It is a tiny silver lining, but I should be grateful that at least I'm not claustrophobic or bothered by needles. My only claustrophobia involves too many people in a small space. If they did MRIs on several people at one time, I'd be in trouble.

My father could talk a blue streak, but he didn't really chat up strangers. My mother will talk at length with any stranger, any place and at any time. Will she call up old friends? No, because she's convinced they think they're better than she is and will wait for them to call.

Glad for the good news, all things considering, Dana.

Work is driving me nuts. One very labor intensive, tedious project was supposed to come to me Monday with my results on Wednesday. I didn't get it until today but at least they let me know things were delayed each day it got pushed. I have a huge deadline today but needed data from the accounting group who didn't even start pulling numbers until today - so we are reviewing and commenting as fast as possible instead of as thorough as possible. I hate working this way. Not that I want to slow poke through things, but I want the chance to know I've reviewed something thoroughly and I'm putting my approval on something I actually approve. ::Headdesk:: ::Headdesk:: ::Headdesk:: (Though, I don't even have a desk).

I have borne out the adage that women marry their fathers. Daddy was chatty with people who wandered by, and he had people who would drop by his upholstery shop just to shoot the breeze. I seem to have a soft spot for men who would happily hang out with their cronies on a bench in front of the general store.
