I hear you, Cass. Getting out from under that would be marvellous. I just don't know HOW.
Christ--they just announced one of the codes I remember from working here--code pink is a kidnapped baby. I don't want to imagine the freaking out that's happening right now.
Wait--and now they say it's a drill? Five minutes after, say, eight calls without saying it's a drill?
That's either mean or shifty.
I vote shifty. What a scary thought!
But do people really use business cards any more?
Certainly. I'm looking forward to having business cards again that I don't have to design & print out on the laser printer...
Timelies all!
Sorry so many folks are having insomnia issues. The last few days I've had a little difficulty calming down for sleep. I've been following my usual routine, so I don't know why my heart's been racing a bit. (It doesn't take super long to fall asleep, just a little longer than usual.)
I track my sleep, because there's an app for that, and tag each night with factors that may affect my sleep - coffee, tea, stress, exercise, whatever. The only one of my tag that the app says helps me sleep is drinking tea, and when I say I drank tea I mean a cup of black tea in the afternoon, so, I don't know what to make of that. Even melatonin doesn't show a positive effect, but I think that's because I only take it when I expect to have trouble falling asleep and have to get up whether I sleep or not.
I was keeping a dream journal for a while but I stopped because, apparently, I have a LOT of anxiety dreams -- and writing them down re-anxiouses me.
Which leads me to think that even when I DO sleep... I don't get a whole lot of rest. Isn't that just dandy.
Y'all, my work inbox is so tidy and organized right now. I'll be cleaning my keyboard pretty soon if nothing comes up for me to do.
It's a shame you can't tackle mine long distance.
