'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I worked with one guy who was a control freak in the nicest way possible. He would literally triple-check data and if he found a mistake, he would let you know in the most apologetic but helpful way possible. His control-freakiness also manifested in making sure he treated his people right, so even if he didn't take breaks, he made sure we did.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Gonna run a few errands today, mostly having to do with reading material.(Library, comic book store, etc.) Otherwise, I will be trying to catch up on the DVR.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Fingers crossed that all goes as well as possible for your mom, Dana.

My boss is also this to an extent, telling me to go home after eight hours exactly while she finishes up her twelve hour day.

But she also doesn't trust the ED, or respect his views or judgment (and in some few instances, she is correct) or authority (which, when he breaks out that stick, is not on, EVER), and doesn't know when to say "yes boss" and not act like a brat about it.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Thanks, everyone. I am not ready to research things yet but I will keep everything in mind

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Lots of digits crossed for your mom, Dana, and echoing everyone else that the earlier they catch it the better.

Good Stuff candidate?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, good one. Thanks!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Have a great vacation, Lee! Does this mean you are bringing Bagel (or name TBA) home soon?

I don't think I really have the concept of the "family home" in any meaningful way. We are just not that kind of family. Grandpa's ashes are scattered over his ranch, which we haven't owned for a long time - it was definitely his and not the family's, and Grandma tended to treat real estate as investments.

Thanks! He is arriving at some point this afternoon.

I'm almost ready for him too! Just need to go get a car seat (did you know they make them for dogs now? and food bowls.
