when I see one of the little "smart cars" I smile - they're so darn cute!

I drive a Toyota Echo, which is fairly damn small. One day when I went to the library, there was a Smart Car parked with an open space next to it, so I parked there just to make my car feel big. And then I took a picture: [link]

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I bet that raised your car's self-esteem.

Smart Cars are cute, but Toyota makes a car that is bigger yet cheaper and with better gas mileage.

I love smart cars. I first saw them in Italy in the early 2000s and I desperately wanted a pink one. The new Fiats are also very cute. Alas, with all the 75+mph highway driving I do, not a realistic choice (not to mention the growing child).

My next car will be some sort of electric/hybrid/something. I am thinking I will need to get a new one to better fit a carload of kids bigger than me in the next 3-4 years. The taller of mac's friends already complain about backseat legroom in my Focus.

My Echo is a 2000, and it still averages 31-33 miles/gallon. Kind of awesome.

I love the new Fiat 500 and considered getting one, but I decided I needed a car big enough to drive my parents around in. Turns out my Focus isn't quite big enough to seat two tall people and a third adult.

My next car will probably be a hybrid or electric car. If I were buying a car now I'd probably get a Ford Fusion or Lincoln MK-Z hybrid.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Every time I see one, I say "Smahhht Cahhhhh". Somerville City Hall has several for officials to run errands with, part of a deal with the local dealership.

I've been seeing a lot of Fiats, which surprised me considering I'd never seen an ad for one before this year.

I love my Forester, but if I hadn't been in immediate need of a car when I bought it, I'd have gotten on the waiting list for one. Ah well.

Le Bistro Montage

Oh, I remember that place! It opened while I lived there, and it was very popular for the cheap big bowl of mac-n-cheese. I'm amazed it's still going.

I will chat with the Portland firm today at noon, and see what they say. Moving to Oregon just seems unlikely, because I'm spending so much time & energy dealing with my folks, and that would all get dumped on my sister. Hardly fair.

Well, we'll see. I'm making no decisions today.

I finally got around to changing McPhee's hours and pay. She'll earn the same, but work 10 hours less. We just do not need 25 hours of house-cleaning, errand-running a week. 15 should be more than enough.

YAY, something off my personal list.

Because books.

Will I be able to teach myself to make a spreadsheet? I've never had to use Excel or anything but Word.

I need to keep track of assigned content for every client (there are several types), who it was assigned to, when it's due, and when it came in. I'm just not sure how to set it up.
