I am tired. I will also attest that a boy and a girl, even one who doesn't talk louder than a whisper, is much louder than children should be.
We drove to Anaheim, picked up my niece who is participating in the indentured servitude program at Disney, went to Gardena to the Japanese grocery store, then went to Long Beach, but avoiding the Grand Prix, for fish tacos, then the beach then back to Anaheim. The home.
The twins collected shells including a beautiful nautilus. I bought a $1.29 indoor basketball hoop for Noah and Grace which is now hanging off their bunkbed. I bought a galloon of soy sauce.
But, Grace played in the sand. [link] She looks pretty happy there, doesn't she?
Thanks, -t! I love the light, but in summers, I really need to block some of it to keep things cooler (windows face due west.) But I didn't want to block all the light and I didn't want to see the covering when not in use. This accomplishes it. Plus, a nice plummy color suits the room. IKEA finally made them available online, as my store didn't carry them.
Heehee. Yep, that's a happy Grace.
That sounds like a great day, Kat. Glad you had some time with the niece.
Grace looks ridiculously happy. Also very old.
Just got back from Matilda's soccer game and a trip to my office to dump all the culled paperwork in the shredding bin. The streets right now are packed with smelly miscreants - it's the annual 4/20 Smoke-In or Smoke-Out or whatever the hell it is; all I know is that there's no parking (Hec has our car, but we got a ride back from a teammate's parents and I had to show them a secret metered alley behind the UCSF dental building because the potheads had taken all the street parking with their stupid SUVs and Suburbans), and Matilda and I had to wade through a sea of pasty suburban bros and unkempt neohippies stinkin' up the block and scattering Bud Light cans and Doritos bags all over everything.
I need a martini. Which is possibly a wee bit hypocritical of me, but damn it, if the martini drinkers had a drink-in in Golden Gate Park we'd be a whole lot prettier and less smelly, and we wouldn't be dropping our used cocktail shakers all over the sidewalk either.

OMG, the meringue is worse than I feared it would be. It looks fine, but tastes disgusting. Forget that plan. Strawberries with cool-whip it is! (For my mother's diet birthday.)
Maybe I'll try one more time tomorrow with half the Stevia.
Strawberries and Cool Whip are nom.
I'm not home yet but my productivity continues. I think I've hit everything on my list other than sorting and putting away laundry. I had an epic search for cat food. I had finally found one the both cats will eat and doesn't create nasty cat farts. So, of course, they are reformulating their line and have the "old" stuff on clearance so it is hard as hell to find.
I'm hanging at a Starbucks, my first break today, awaiting The return of the ARP team. CJ has had a long day providing first aid support -I dropped him off at 4am and will be picking him up by 8pm.
Dragon Ball Grace, indeed. There's also a pic where Noah's feet are entirely off the sand. [link] My kids are piece of work.
