This is going to take a while, right? I think I can turn off the news and turn on the DVR now. The internet will keep me posted.
Natter 71: Someone is wrong on the Internet
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Um, I would stay put, if I were her.
My mother is also the person who didn't want to interrupt the meeting she was in during 9/11, so her judgment may not be the best in these situations.
Oy.
2 people got fired here yesterday. Or laid off, not clear (bonus of rooming with a sysadmin, you find out whenever someone gets ousted because they have to change ALL THE PASSWORDS.) Kinda freaky since we're still posting open positions even with the sequester. One was the SIL of our now-retired division head. Uhhhhn.
In less breaking news, I am unreasonably irritated with a friend who just posted pictures of her kid all dressed up for storybook character day at school - as Buzz Lightyear. Not going to say anything.

There's a person on my FB list who is ranting about this being a false flag, and I cannot understand how his brain processes the same information that I'm seeing on the news right now. Blocked, Uncle* Fucknut.
*(Not really my uncle, but I'm going to use "Uncle Fucknut" as a general moniker for any wingnutty type person.)
My parents are oddly excited about how Lester Holt is broadcasting from right in front of a diner that we like to eat at when we're visiting Boston. I don't get it.
Could all the crazy violent people please just book a group vacation to Antarctica and take out their issues on each other?
Why do I snap wide awake before my alarm on my day off when it's usually like scaling a cliff face toward consciousness on a workday? Also, why does my bedhair make me look like a Dragonball Z character this morning?
I don't even know what a false flag would mean in this context?

Matt, that was me today. My alarm was set for 9, and I was wide awake at 7:00. On workdays, when my alarm goes off at 6:45, I feel like I'm coming out of a coma.
