I tried to nap, since I woke up at what was 2:30am on this coast. It was only sorta successful, not helped by the phone ringing a few times. Sigh.
I didn't really hear much of that sort of thing in conversation that I remember, but being a huge bookworm as a child, I sometimes read older books and encountered words I wasn't sure of. Though I must admit, for most of my life I had no idea "gypped" referred to gypsies! I mean, they weren't a commonplace group where I was growing up, or anything, so it's not like anyone was making the connection directly.
One day I will convince my father not to use a certain phrase about rigging things, but it hasn't happened yet.
I assume not "jury," but rather...Brazil nuts? My dad uses that phrase, too.

Aw, I got e-mail from my beloved egg farm, they kept a few chickens and are still selling eggs in piecemeal fashion direct from the farm. Which is great for me, because that is not very far. Yay!
One of my co-workers who I don't think I have actually met formally stopped and gave me a jumpstart, also yay! I guess I should get that looked at. Maybe next week.
And still more big yays for msbelle! I want to hear all about how this change will be better!
