A friend of mine's article made it onto the front page of Salon.com today! I feel so excited for him. I can't wait to congratulate in at TRX class tomorrow.
But I've never had the real ones! So all I know is I like what's called ramen in the little plastic-wrapped packs.
The real ramen noodles aren't all that similar to the instant ones -- no ripply texture :( So its not like you can get traditional ramen and it'll be some epic original version of the tasty celophane pack ones. They're their own wonderfulness altogether. The instant ones are very popular in Japan, however, despite their decidedly not-gourmet nature.
Maria, ballpark guess for packing dates?
Could be any time. It will all depend on when I get a job. I've given myself 6 months from the end of March to be out, worst case scenario.
So who can give me tips about introducing dogs to indoor cats?
Are you worried about the dog chasing the cats? If the dog is bigger than the cats, set up a baby gate just off the floor enough that the cats can squeeze under and into a room the dog can't get to. (I would put the litter box in this room). They'll be able to see and smell each other and the cats will venture out when they're ready.
I was so tired after work tonight that my dinner was a couple spoonfuls of peanut butter. Now you've got me wanting ramen.

And the cats going after the dog.
I was definitely thinking baby gate blocking off the back half of the house.
I know it will work out--I just want to see if it can happen without any bloodshed.
I was talking about real ramen, Jessica, by which I mean ramen from a local noodle place. Like I said, all about the pork broth!
Jesse, I hear there's some really great RAMEN in the restaurant building just before Porter Square, so close you could walk to it from your parents' place. Including a noodle place that gets major lines.
Speaking of cool food, I had some Soup Dumplings at a Malay place in Chinatown last week. Not dumplings IN soup, you bite into the dumping and there's hot broth inside.
Yeah, there's that new ramen place where Zing! used to be, but it's a different style of ramen, apparently. The lines seem to have died down?
OMG you guys, I am so fucking tired. Why could I not fall asleep last night? NO REASON. And now I have to go talk about my family to a group of strangers and then come back and do my actual job, and I don't wanna.
