Thrive to spite them

I got a Family Circle in the mail and was confused. But then I opened the letter attached. Whole Living is no longer being published so I'm getting Family Circle instead. And they are throwing in a "free" cookbook p only $6 shipping and handling.

I'm not going after that.

I wasn't too into Whole Living but I really liked Everyday Food and there was a twofer subscription offer to good to beat. But Everyday Food isn't being produced anymore either. So I get Martha Stewart.

I'll just add these to take to the library for their Free pile.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

All, why is Boston's mayor seated? Has he had recent health problems that affect his ability to stand?

Karma is a cat, sleeping in my lap cuz it loves me. ~TS

Broke his leg. He was still in the hospital post-surgery during yesterday's marathon.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I am watching the Boston press-conference right now and the amazing part of the conference is that someone asked about the 3rd fatality and when we might know who that person is.

The spokesperson turned for some help behind him to answer the question and the police commissioner replied in a whisper to the spokesperson and the mic picked up every word he said! It was unreal. I am white fonting for people here who may not want to read the details, suffice it to say that the public notice will come later and no estimate of time was given. But he said: we are having trouble identifying the person, so we don't know enough to identify next of kin . I think they should have stepped way away from the mic.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oof.

Oh man you guys. I just took Mouse (the foster chihuahua) back to the rescue. That was brutal.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aw, Brenda! You gave that little boo a good weekend.

But Everyday Food isn't being produced anymore either.

Ah, seriously? That magazine was so good!

Menino broke his leg?? Sheesh -- I had heard he was in the hospital and not at the marathon, but assumed it was connected to whatever health problems he had that led to his being in the hospital/rehab for what seemed like most of the winter. He can't catch a break. (npi)

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

hmm. the police commissioner got some bad info. the next of kin haven't been notified, but it was a BU student.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

My eye is puffy and starting to look bruised. At some point today it hit me how lucky I was. Just a little to the right and :shudder:.
