If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

And what looks like a big fire at the JFK Library - unknown if it's related at all though.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

At least there will have been lots of first responders at the scene.

Yup, and the medical tent, etc. And, as the local news just told me, "many of the best hospitals in the world, just miles away." Because we have to continue to represent for Boston.

It's so creepy looking at the photos/video -- that's three blocks from where I used to live.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Now getting gruesome first-hand accounts of hair on fire, severed limbs, battlefield scene in front of Charlesmark Hotel.

Also...

Boston scanner: Device was in a "trash barrel ... All officers responding in the area, beware of trash containers."

And they had a guy on the phone who was saying his friend said there was a bomb found in a hotel near that area. The Mandrian Hotel I think.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Good to hear from our Bostonistas. But God almighty. This is horrible.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm safe here at home in Somerville, and rather heartsick.

At least with the explosions so near the finish line, there were plenty of experienced medical people in running distance. And one of the best trauma centers in America is less than a mile from there.

Just heartsick, truly.

Unfortunately, it seems that mid-April brings out the "patriotic" crazies every couple of years.

Thrive to spite them

Just heard on New England News that Boston Police are confirming that they were bombs.
