I would be there right now.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Understood!

brillig

it would annoy me to have to remember to flip up the lid. Esp. in the AM.

Heaven knows this has been an issue in my life.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I seem to have an appetitestat that only has three settings: vaguely nauseated at the thought of food, not hungry, and ravenous. That makes scheduling mealtimes rather peripatetic.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I usually eat breakfast. Usually a bowl of cereal, or something equally light. I've learned I need to eat real food(i.e. not just snacks) on a regular basis or I am not a happy camper. Learned that lesson at WorldCon one year.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Oh, god, we're talking about food. I was up driving the porcelain bus last night until after midnight, I have no idea why. My sister & I spent all day with our parents: took them down to my brother's new house in SJ, then had dinner with them & then I took my dad out for a beer while my sister helped Mom. Then on the way home we stopped for a drink and I had one cocktail.

No idea what's going on with my innards, but a pint of beer and a single cocktail in a three-hour period should not make me spend two hours on my knees in the bathroom! So miserable.

I'm very gingerly eating some applesauce and hoping everything stays down.

I don't like getting old! I know my limits, I'm very good about them: why are my limits changing?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, Consuela, I'm sorry! You are under a wee bit of stress, what with one thing and another, I know sometimes that affects my stomach.

Unrelatedly: studying is hard. I quit smoking about 15 years ago and sample tests still make me want to light up.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Consuela, sounds like a virus or food poisoning -- nothing you did!

I've been known to drag in a couple small rugs, some pillows and a comforter and make a nest next to the toilet when it looks like it's going to be a siege. Also a book, to try to distract myself from thinking about how awful I feel.

It doesn't make the process go any faster, but at least it eases some of the discomfort of the situation....

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Consuela, sounds like what I had a few weeks back. Feel better.
