Does anyone watch Scandal?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I do but haven't seen this week.

to add, I mean that as anyone here who wants to rec it or comment on it?

N & G & I are on our own for the rest of the weekend. I think we are going to the science cube tomorrow for the science of gingerbread. And then what? I dunno. Republic of Pie definitely for scones. And playing at home.

I definitely have been enjoying Scandal, though there are some things I am reserving judgement on until we get resolution--they better pay off.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I watch Scandal, and enjoy it, but I wouldn't expect to like any of the characters.

I mean, I thought there's a tacit agreement to say "Jimmy worked here from fall of 2005 until 2010" and that's about all the detail most references were going into these days.

Yeah--both this firm and the last one I worked for tell new employees up front that this is all they will say.

Oh, god.

I'm not going to make it through to Monday. I'm just not.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I've been at my parents for a day and a half and I'm going mad and need to get the frick out. And I totally would except for how in sure they would take it out of my hide (and, sorry, whatever inheritance I might eventually glean). But between Fox News and Extreme Homes as after-t-day viewing, I am at my wits end. It's hard to counter my moms planned parenthood views when my gut reaction is that she'd made herself an appointment in1978. That's shit you don't say to your mother at anytime of the year.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I actually caught up in this thread during the down times of cooking today! I chose to eschew tradition, so I made a Moroccan Sweet Potato/Carrot/Pumpkin soup.

Of course now I can only remember a couple of the things I wanted to respond to.

Re: microwave oatmeal. Use a deep bowl and run longer at 50% power (I run mine for 6 minutes). I never have it explode or boil over.

I have lots of rambling thoughts on ethnicity and casting but I'm not sure how coherent I'd be at the moment. Maybe in the next couple of days.
