In our neighborhood, we have all the usual animal suspects including coyote, plus black bear, mountain lions, bobcats.
So, I was wondering if the mountain lion got Pug the Cat, as I hadn't seen Pug anywhere all afternoon. Alas, he's now outside rolling in the grass. I swear that cat is part cockroach. Luckily, though, we will be packing him up and driving him to Baltimore this summer so he can find a home where he will be loved.
But you'll still love him.
All we have in Alabama, where I'm at now, is squirrels and snakes, and I have to say, I saw a rattlesnake on a shortcut from the library once and I jumped away *real* fast. Hate the little, fast, venomous buggers.
The best part of Pug going to Sara is that she NEEDS another cat.
I saw a fox trotting down the sidewalk a few blocks from where I live. I just thought it was funny that he was using the sidewalk.
On Wednesday another car backed into mine in the parking lot. I have a dent above my rear wheel well. I did get her insurance information but I'm not really sure what to do. It isn't a big thing but it wasn't my fault.
A surprisingly thoughtful piece from Russell Brand on the death of Margaret Thatcher: [link]
I've seen a few foxes randomly, in neighborhoods. They have a snappy little gait.
Yay for a good day on multiple job fronts!
Hi, clio!
That piece is great, and has reminded me that I need to borrow his memoir from Emmett.
(Sorry, Jess, I know he has been an indefensibly pure-d Dick at times, but when he's being sober and seriously thoughtful his brain just kind of bowls me over.)
