Lorne: Back in Pylea they used to call me "sweet potato." Connor: Really. Lorne: Yeah, well, the exact translation was "fragrant tuber" but…

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ha! I would totally feel compelled to explain Bob Saget to Bob Saget if I ever met him even though I'm certain he already knows about it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aw, Annette Funicello also died.

Aw, man. And Lilly Pulitzer!

I still laugh about the idea we (msbelle, others) had of paging "Rio Hernandez and Bob Saget" at an event before we had met them, even though we didn't actually do it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Whew. Found some random stuff I can stash in my desk in case I have more face-cleansing crises. Hopefully it doesn't make me break out like the last vacation I took from my normal face care regimen. It doesn't feel perfect, but it feels a lot better.

Note to self: this grey v-neck sweater has too much wool in it to wear next to your skin. YOU KNOW THIS.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Thatcher had dementia for a long time, which is kind of sad, but I know there are still a LOT of people in the UK who loathe her and nearly everything she did when she was in power. One o my old friends, who grew up in Manchester in the 1980s, always swore she would dance on the woman's grave.

I'll say. One of my friends just posted "Ding dong, the Wicked Witch is dead!" on FB.

Hahahah! That would be hilarious. To us, at least.

Better than the weirdo melancholy dream I had about a long-ago ex last night. I hate dreams where the feeling lingers, even if it has no basis in reality!

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I knew about the way she broke the unions in the north, and the Falklands thing: I didn't know she instituted a poll tax in Scotland. WTF.

Apparently the Glasgow city council is pleading for people not to party in the main city square, as it's being renovated.

Also, she sold off the public ownership interest in BP and said Nelson Mandela was a terrorist.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

One o my old friends, who grew up in Manchester in the 1980s, always swore she would dance on the woman's grave.

Your friend is not alone - there's going to be a long, bitter conga line ready and waiting after the last shovelful of dirt is tamped down.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Do you ever have a near-aching compulsion to wash your face (this must be the wind's fault too)?

Yeah, I try to keep a package of TJ's makeup remover baby-wipe like things around for those occasions. In fact, I just ran out yesterday so I need to stock up...
