That was new. I ended up pulling over twice on the way home and napping because I don't have a plan for what to do should I puke while driving. I still don't have a plan, but at least I didn't chunder, while driving or not. But that was supremely unpleasant.
Of course, now that I'm home the intensity is retreating a bit, but I'm not complaining. It can totally retreat all it wants, and I'll just have the luxury of not wondering about catching a cab home from a random parking lot.
That sounds unpleasant! Glad it's at least a little better at home.
Poor ita. I have puked while driving more than once. Not good. Not as bad as puking on the subway, though. I do NOT miss my uterus and those crazy headache-making hormones one whit.
I, too, hope Homer remains chipper. He sure LOOKS snuggly, from what I have seen.
So, tomorrow I will be at my BFF's family's house for Thanksgiving. We have been friends for so long that I can actually be annoyed at her family. Her 75 year old mother, who is doing all the cooking, in insistent on a sit-down dinner. Her brother is insistent that his 14 year old son join the grown up table. We are all quite fat, and it is a very small table that is crowded at the best of times. All three of her brothers are coming this year, and all three of them refuse to sit anywhere except the head of the table (possibly because it is so squished, but Maria and I AND her sister-in-law have eaten meals practically spooning.
Also, for some reason, I always end up having to talk to (at length) the brother and sister in law that M is in a huge fight with. One year our dinner conversation consisted of talking about cancer treatment.
But still, it is sort of exciting that they are family enough that they annoy me in this way!
And my family Thanksgiving on Saturday is possibly marred by the fact my aunt wants to try a new game, instead of Trivial Pursuit. I LOVE Trivial Pursuit and do not want to play whatever game this is involving quarters I have to bring with (I am assuming gambling and not a drinking game).
Also, I have not puked while driving, but have narrowly missed puking on the bus by getting of at an unknown stop. Which was not fun.
AND to tie it all together, I don't think anything could be much worse than last Thanksgving, which involved me cleaning up my mom's vomie on her carpeted (WTF) bathroom floor.
Oh Jesse, many hugs and snuggles for Homer.
And ugh ita, your work has been way to stressful of late.
Ugh, thanks. I am not sure what best puke practice is, but I do now feel I should make a plan. I also have no idea why this came over me this hard, but the fact that I actually slept both times I pulled over is probably not insignificant.
The anti nausea prescription I'm on needs to be kept refrigerated, so not exactly packing it while I'm out. Come on, drugs! Kick in! Kick in!
Sophia, if I were a callous person, I'd say people who carpet their bathrooms need enough miserable incidents to demonstrate what a dodgy idea that is. Is it a flat felty-like carpet? I think one of our bathrooms in
Jamaica
was carpeted like that. WTF?
Tropic
carpeted
bathrooms?
Would you be interested in a phone like this? I'm wondering if I think it's worth it to wait for the development of all the technology that would be required to mass produce the phone in the picture--surely you could use bendable glass on not bendable phones to just drop the breakage risk significantly? I still hear all the noise being about gorilla glass, and this sounds like a potential application for a different angle.
Also, how many of you (other than ND) talk to (not on, to) your phones in order to accomplish tasks?
I can't believe no one reacted to the Storm cosplay. Like, Halle Berry should be calling her and apologising.
I really want to cosplay Storm but a) I don't go anywhere cosplayish b) I don't know the best way to achieve this hair (this is the best I've seen, but I don't like the effect and c) damn, she owns all the Storms.
I do wonder if I'll ever get occasion to cosplay Martha Washington. She's second on my list.
The Crow is third...kidding, Jilli. Well, not that I don't want to, but I guess maybe not.
You should totally cosplay Martha Washington!
If your anti-nausau meds require refrigeration could you carry them in an insulated bag with blue ice?
