Oh, Jesse. So sorry about Homer.
And I agree, boy bands should dance. Heck, they're probably not even really singing, so they ought to have SOME kind of skill...

They're from British Idol or the X-Factor or something, I think, so presumably they can actually sing, so that's something.
I am obviously in a little denial about the whole thing. He seems OK!
Chipper Homer is good. I hope he feels well.
I just got thrown under about three buses. Nothing like coming back from not-even-lunch (I grabbed a crappy but expensive fake turkey lunch on my way back from emergency pharmacy supplies) and there's someone sent to find you from one director and three Where are you ITA¹? messages from the CIO.
I *think* I've extracted myself from that without doing anything to incense my boss, who is travelling today, but fuck. I feel sick and awful and I am going home.
Unrelatedly, a co-worker's father seems to have had his credit card stolen and $2K of charges run up on it.
¹ she opts to capitalise all of my name, rather than none. It's discomfiting.
Happy Birthday Sparky!
aw, Jesse, I'm so sorry. Poor ol' Homer. Swifty started having seizures early this year and was on all kinds of heavy duty anti-bios that didn't really help and that were a pain in the ass to give him. But, in between, seizures he was totally his same meow-y affectionate self in between seizures up until the end. Hope Homer keeps on being chipper!
I have no bagel and now am sad.
However, I had amazingly yummy dim sum including juicy pork dumplings and shumai from Din Tai Fung, the one true dumpling house.
Then I made lentil and mushroom shepherd's pie which is vegan and gluten-free. Do I get a gold star?
Pie dough needs to be rolled out and pies made, but I have a kid who keeps saying "ZERO is a number. Zero IS a number. Zero is a NUMBER."
I need to make pie dough, but there is still tv to watch.
I am feeling the same way, but with different to-do items.
My apple pie is almost done--the crust isn't exactly pretty, but I bet the pie will taste good! Turkey is brining and I'm about to go back out to buy another bag of cranberries, as I've decided one won't be enough. Oh the humanity.
