Not as long as crab cakes are still allowed.

Natter 71: Someone is wrong on the Internet
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Also, that is not the sentence in my post I would expect to be taken as crazycakes. Not because it isn't, but because a lot of what I say tends to be.
I actually had fish for breakfast, but cold, as God intended.
I think I hate everything today.

It's just... I'm barely functioning now, and it's past 9:30 here! "Running," "morning," "office for 6:30" are all no-goes for me.
Should be a rule against fish in communal microwaves, period.
Absolutely, yes. I usually eat at my desk, but even when I bought lunch with fishes I figure that's too obnoxious for the office environment. Garlic is as far as I'll go. Not that I've gotten as far as that this week. Must actually take lunch today.
Hmm. I haven't gotten email at my main address in a while. Test emails are not coming back to me either. Shitsnacks.
I'm pretty sure there IS a rule against heating up pickled herring.
I have decided to pull my energy from a more positive place. So far this morning it is working, but there are cracks starting to form.
I applied for a second internal position after talking with someone up the chain of command over it. I also followed it up with an email to the HR person, as he suggested. I am not holding my breath.
The first internal position that I applied for is not moving forward as far as I can tell. I submitted the application yesterday morning and have heard nothing. The people over the position have not been given my name or my resume from HR. The admin in that department did speak to them on my behalf and so they know I am applying. They are both opting not to contact HR and just see if HR will allow me to be considered as a candidate. This does not bode well, IMO.
So.... I am getting a few more tasks of my desk and then I am setting up a spreadsheet for my job search. I am going to list all the companies and organizations that I have applied with or that I want to keep on my list for places to search each week for positions. Then I will track weeks across the x access. I can document each date that I submit an application and even link to the job posting so I can stay up on whether it is still open.
When I put things like this together for myself it makes me wonder how other people say that I do not have strong organizational skills. Maybe because my work area is not cleared off and often looks messy? huh, I bet that is it. I will note that as something to work on. Working files should probably all go in my drawers.
Fish AND popcorn should not be allowed in communal microwaves.
I think I hate everything today.
You don't hate me. So not everything. Just remember, it's Friday. You don't have to deal with work shit for two whole days.
msbelle, I am seriously considering paying you to come up and help me pack up my house. I am paralyzed with indecision as to what to keep and what to get rid of.
They are not the arbiters of the be-all and end-all definition of organization. Their reality is not everyone else's. It is THEIR failing, not yours, in this job. You can only work with what you're given. Stop being so harsh on my friend.
OHHHH! trip to DC area. that would be fun. I wish there was a 3 day weekend soon.
What is your timetable?
