I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

We rented the house briefly, so it's not just personal use property. Also not our primary residence.

ETA: OMG, I can't believe having those nightmare tenants is actually helping us.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Crap. Roger Ebert has died.

He just announced two days ago he was taking a "leave of presence" to do less writing, as his cancer had returned.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

He just announced two days ago he was taking a "leave of presence" to do less writing, as his cancer had returned.

I thought I read that really recently, and then thought maybe I mis-remembered. Wow. He was only 70.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

That's really sad. Off the top of my head he must be the most famous culture critic in America. When I was young and dumb, I used to not think very much of him because he seemed to overrate things. I felt like it was a big change in my worldview when I realized he appreciated more.

Because books.

He's just one of those faces I've known since childhood. What's sad to me is that I told the others here, and there was zero reaction. But they're all under 24.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I was going to make a glib joke about zombies and questionable marketing schemes, but then I had to back screen and when it refreshed I saw that Roger Ebert had died. How sad! Such a wonderful writer, and a man who faced such tragic circumstances with so much grace and courage.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

For $39, probably worth it.

Aw, Roger Ebert. And I just overheard a couple of my co-workers mentioning it, too.
