Easter ham has transformed into lentil soup. Nom. I may have overproduced however, but I can freeze some if it comes to that.
Franny is watching Return of the King for the upteen-millionth time. It's still so damn moving.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

What kind of DSL problem would let me get to gmail, Facebook, and twitter but not here, aol, or HuffPo? The diagnostic page keeps suggesting that I have a device without a DSL filter which is not true.
If I left a block of cheese in a container on the counter in my pretty cool kitchen (63 or so) for several hours last night, but put it in the fridge this morning, it's still going to be okay to eat, right?
It will be fine, Lee.
I'd think so as long as it was OK to eat in the first place. If it's Casu Marzu, you're out of luck.
Happy Birthday Tom!
Hard cheese? Absolutely fine.
BTW, my experiment in letting my cut-before-actually-ripe avocado continue to ripen had mixed results (the internet suggested sticking the halves back together, wrapping it in a couple layers of plastic, and setting it in the fridge, which I did for a while but it didn't seem like it was doing anything so I moved it out to the counter). It did eventually ripen, I think, but it also grew mold. So, not practical, at least not under circumstances I'm likely to practice. Will be more careful before deciding to cut in the future
Tom! Happy happy birthday!
Thanks, everyone!
