'Bring On The Night'
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

For your convenience, msbelle.
Gah, msbelle! At least you know you aren't paranoid?
Flying cars. Who's on that?
Oh, hey I heard something about - they said not to call them flying cars, they are more like planes you can drive? I wish I could remember more about that or even where I heard it. It sounded nifty. Still in prototype stage, I want to say, but the prototype flies and drives and fits in big garages and fills up at the gas station, so, someone is on it, is I guess my point.
I came home early, did more final cleaning before the in-laws show up, and then made the mistake of sitting down. There is more stuff I need to do. Plus their plane arrives in half an hour.
(I see no reason to make this easy for them: they're assholes and deserve to have it shown.)
I agree. With added steaming piles of poo.
It's really not where I want to spend my energy, but I feel that I must counter on the items that I can document and refute.
There is no way to try and show improvement on "not demonstrating the necessary skill level in organization and setting priorities required to be effective in your position." when examples are not provided of say a deadline being missed or task just not being done - no examples provided at all of when I selected the wrong task to do.
Oh crud, msbelle, what a bunch of asswipes.
Oooh, the judge on People's Court just said "I can read, AND I have a Georgetown Law Degree." Reality TV snap!
Yes, I'm waiting for the end of People's Court before I go get my in-laws.
Frankly, I had no idea that the captain had UNLIMITED discretion on an airplane. Aren't there guidelines?
Doubt it.
OTOH, one could wish the flight attendants had shown a little discretion in what they chose to bring to the pilot's attention.
But the whole "asking my name is akin to making a threat" reminds me of the "filming the police is automatically a violation" trend we're seeing. Waving authority around for it's own sake.

Especially since they announce the captain's name at the beginning of every flight! It's hardly a secret!
I trust that James Fallows will get to the bottom of this: he's very good, and he knows tons of people.
