Congrats, Vortex!
Can I ask for a few crossed fingers today? My conference is today, and I just want it to go well.

Good luck, Burrell! I'm sure it will be great.
everyone else in the company has only TWO WEEKS PTO total per year.
Holy shitsnacks, that's terrible.
I work for a big nonprofit with decent pay and OK benefits. I have three weeks of vacation and I think two of sick? I pay a medium amount for mediocre health coverage (apparently the family plans are super expensive.).
One thing I have found fascinating about insurance is that, at least when it was an issue for us, me + kids was much cheaper to insure than me + spouse (and of course me + family was the most). Which makes sense when you think about it, since a spouse could be any age and potentially getting sick, whereas kids are obviously young and as a rule pretty healthy. So for some time I am the kids were on my insurance at work, while mr. flea was on his grad student insurance. (And to put me and the kids on his grad student insurance would have been RIDIC. Of course, if I hadn't been working we'd probably have qualified for Medicaid.)
Yay Vortex!
Sois sage, Burrell, as me mum would say. Not in the same sentence as I called her me mum, though, usually.
I tried to watch it back when it aired and found it not amusing at all, nigh on unwatchable
I think they were choosing the eps to shill for his new HBO show, but they seemed pretty clearly standup stretched into thirty minutes (he was an awful actor, great standup), which was made clear by some of the standup they showed afterwards that overlapped precisely with half an episode. But the ep where his wife has her first orgasm, and Jerry Minor across the way has a wife that's using a vibrator (I keep forgetting I met Jerry when he worked with Colin, and I can never remember why he's so familiar) had a payoff that I would have loved to see on Friends-- the husband uses the vibrator on himself when the wife leaves the room. A bit to much dick, though. And I don't say that lightly.
I missed the start of my 7am meeting because we had a 6:30am incident. Whoopee? Speaking of which, I should pee--I got straight out of bed onto work calls, and I'm not *that* work from home person.
Note to self: buy more white peach tea, buy more powdered citrus. If I ran out of both at the same time...oh, the terror...
Count me in on the "Lucky Louie" being gross bench. Although I haven't watched it for a long time, maybe now that I get what he was going for better, I might find more humor in it. Hec, funny you should mention that, as I totally use "hilarious" much less frequently than I used to.
Two weeks total PTO for a year is revolting. Poor Tom.

In other news, my Dad called me at 7:30 AM because Mom was nauseous. I couldn't figure out why he called me, when there were two caregivers there and one more on the way--until I realized he thought I was now unemployed.
I'm clearly going to have to land a new job quickly, to minimize the risk of becoming a full-time caregiver for my mother...
Congrats, Vortex!
Good luck, Burrell!
I get 10 days PTO. I'm going to have a chat about that since I've just spent the last two months doing two full time jobs with no extra compensation. I expect the long hours to continue through April, too.
Did anyone else see True&Co's April 1 promotion? It's a bluetooth enabled bra that lets you pick the level of push-up from an iPhone app.

The fuck?
That was an April Fool's Day thing, right? I mean, god, I hope so.
