Jayne: Yeah, that was some pretty risky sittin' you did there. Wash: That's right, of course, 'cause they wouldn't arrest me if we got boarded, I'm just the pilot. I can always say I was flying the ship by accident.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Yeah, I think it was the case with my grandmother too.

the doctor may want to look at drug interactions as well.

some of the reading I've been doing indicates that sudden degradation might actually be because of a UTI or something like that

Both very common (even if she hasn't started a new med super recently, often older people can have levels of drugs build up in their system because they don't metabolize them the same as younger folks)

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Consuela,

one last thing: my friend's father went down hill pretty rapidly because of mini-strokes that were undiagnosed.

Thrive to spite them

Consuela a UTI can cause memory problems and confusion if your Mom seems worse it could be because of a UTI.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I had made my mental food plans, but the restaurant is closed for Easter. Hmph.

Imagine my disgruntlement when I swung by In N Out Burgers to pick up some grub as I collected JZ and Matilda from the rental car place, only to find them closed for Easter. I had no gruntle.

Art Crawl!!!

ita - the ball point pen drawings you've been linking to have been just amazing. I had NO IDEA.

My onerous task is ongoing. I've thrown out lots of things. And friends came by and helped me move a carload of stuff (mostly yarn and books.) And I'm planning on taking a half day tomorrow to get more stuff done.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I know another family whose mother had a rapid physical decline that turned out to be a UTI -- now she's walking fine again.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Go, sumi, go!

Pretty trench, ita. I have seen Consuela's red coat (unless she has multiple red coats and this is a different one) and it's great.

I have been chipping away at my overdue dishes and laundry and TV today - pretty good progress on all fronts!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I understand that UTIs are usually pretty curable, so it would be great if that was the issue.

Still, she's pushing me to the $35,000 machine guy who flattens frequencies and kills all your bacteria.

But . . . but . . . I'm pretty sure you need a lot of your bacteria. (Leaving aside the issue of the $35,000 machine guy actually doing anything that did anything.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, but also, isn't everything going to change in a couple of months? Just wait that shit out!

Dag, I am exhausted. Getting up at 7 on a Sunday is no good for me.
