Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

( continues...) for next week.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Did my onerous task, now enjoying food coma.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

If you keep putting her off -- my experience with the Woo! people is that they're usually onto some other Really Important Thing when the shiny on their Current Important Thing wears off. Like the poles switching magnetically, or pyramids making a big comeback, or bunnies.

In her well-meaning way, she IS trying to do something "nice" for you... and in a quantifiable way, through being the visiting nurse, she actually is accomplishing something positive, so if you can sweetly grit your teeth and let the woowoo drift past you... well, it wouldn't impinge your integrity in my eyes, anyway.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I had made my mental food plans, but the restaurant is closed for Easter. Hmph.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I just spend $13 at IKEA, which I think must be some kind of record. (Children's dept for little hangers, marketplace for an extra bathroom stepstool, and OUT.)

Now I have to make enchiladas, but what I really want to do is nap.

Two more days of spring break, and tomorrow it's supposed to stay rainy. I'm running out of free indoor activities!

Well, since she's asking me what I've done about following up on the information from before (she leaves me with names, phone numbers, and addresses), I can't do and say nothing. Teeth gritting is insufficient.

Man, it's plenty sad how long it took me to shop this. And that's one card with no lighting consistency. You know that moment where you know that doing it from scratch is officially taking longer than finding someone else's execution of said idea (because it's not that original)? But, since you've already invested that time, the question now is--is it too inefficient to finish it? And you don't know those numbers...

And I just spent a lot of time that should have had nothing to do with Netflix in the first place, but rather should be working on my fic illustration commitments. Because mid-project I decided that the little girl in the Subaru ad was even cuter than the really cute girl I was using as my original reference...I see why it's called a drawing board. Off I get.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Oh, maybe you could get her into the multiple Beatles conspiracy!

Amazon is buying Goodreads. [link] I had no idea that Amazon already owns Shelfari and part of LibraryThing.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

ita, I really like that red trench. Also the short red jacket below it--both are really nice.

So we went to lunch at the ALF with Mom, and my sister took video of her eating, because she's lost so much coordination and mobility recently, it's shocking.

I'm going to ask the staff to take her temperature this week, I think--some of the reading I've been doing indicates that sudden degradation might actually be because of a UTI or something like that.

I was kind of sad to see that jacket when I was searching for other instances of the coat, because it wasn't on sale at the same time--I have no idea where to find it. But I want it massively.

Completely coincidentally (pinkie swear) Lana was wearing a red trench on Archer this week. And she is the animated epitome of banging, so that's definite powerful endorsement.

Well, huh. These are things I wouldn't necessarily think of. I hope you make discoveries and it's something you can get traction on improving for her, and subsequently for your father (can he be talked out of trying to exert so much control? Because he doesn't sound like his faculties are up for dealing with a woman as ill as your mother, and it doesn't seem like something that gets easier with practice.
