Anyone have experience with Geico as an insurer? Preferably home insurance, but I'd appreciate any stories.
We have them for car insurance and they've been great. They have a really well run and helpful roadside service (which I've had to use multiple times, including getting broken down in Bakersfield with my phone running out of power).
Also, when the current car was out of action for four months they were super accommodating about changing our policy so we had a minimal payment and then just changing it back when the car was running again. That was something they suggested which saved us a good chunk of change we needed for car repairs.
So their customer service is excellent.
I have them for car insurance too, and they've been efficient and pretty helpful, even when other parties were being time-consuming. The very first claim I had with them in CA went wrong (took them way too long to authorise the garage to start work), but once I stomped and yelled they covered an extra month of rental, and I haven't had problems since. This last totalling was very well-handled. I called them first after the accident, and they walked me through everything.

I know I'm not the one who asked, but I just switched to Geico b/c Progressive was gouging me (seriously, I saved over $250), so I'm glad to hear that.
Great, thanks to both of you. Our insurance quotes for the house were a little sticker-shocky, so we're looking at other companies.
I had choir this morning, did all the errands, and it is SO BEAUTIFUL out, but I had to come inside, and...now it's been an hour and I'm stuck to the sofa. I guess I should put in laundry if I'm not going anywhere.
We have 5 hours until the twins party and I still need to make sangria for next weekend. I put the roast in for dinner for after the party already. And I need to frost 3 dozen more cupcakes.
I need to call up and drop some coverage on my car. I was hoping to do via email, but nsm. Ah well.
Pedicured (got the new girl. Sigh. Not as great a job as usual. Still better than me.) Shopped. Laundering. I think I'll save oiling until this evening. And also dye my hair. I have to leave some activities for tomorrow when the town is shut down.
Have all the windows open. Ahhhhhhhhh!
Oh! And there was a baby dwarf goat at the market! Only a week and a half old! Black with a white star on his forehead and BLUE EYES! (Which I'm told is not a sought out trait, but I cannot see why. So cool looking.) Named Spike. He was adorable and so, so soft. But I resisted goatmilk caramel. Though I didn't want to.
Baby dwarf goat! That sounds pretty adorable.
Gorgeous wedding photos. Wishing the couple well!
