Ooh! Pics, Brenda?
I went to a swing dance convention and had a good time. More in the morning. What I didn't know: the dance was listed as going to 12:30am, but that was just the competition/spectator part. Apparently people then start really dancing and go until like 5am. I, however, will not be doing that.
To market , to market, to buy a fresh...
spinach?
Then home again, home again, jiggity-jig.
Or something like that.
Hivemind! We are about to leave the place in key west we've been staying in all week. Do we leave a tip for housekeeping? They haven't been here all week but will be cleaning our week's mess. What would you do?
Is it a VRBO type situation? I have never tipped in that scenario (but then, I forget to tip housekeeping in hotels half the time, anyway), because usually there's a cleaning fee built into the cost.
Real estate company owned property but basically same as vrbo. I'm inclined not to tip but was seized with indecision!
I'd tip a dollar for every night multiplied by the number of people who stayed in the place.
Back when I used to regularly stay in hotels for work (insert nostalgic sigh) I'd try to tip every day, to make sure that I hit the actual person who actually cleaned up that day.
Timelies all!
Another quiet weekend here.
About 45 minutes before I sign my new lease. (You've got to understand - it's been 17 years since I last moved.) I'm drinking tea and have the Dubai World Cup on tv. The announcers are British. They just pronounced Mario Gutierrez's name in such a bizarre way that I could never copy it. They didn't even pronounce "Mario" in a normal way. They had better luck with Jose Valdivia. (They just said Mario's name again - much, much better.)
Are you moving on the first? I'm glad you found a place to have a new lease on!
It's all grey here today, supposed tone thunderstorms tomorrow. Excellent reason to put off mowing my lawn just a little longer.
I'm moving as soon as I sign my lease!
I really want to be out of here by Sunday night. We'll see if that can be managed.
