Speaking of social rules, I was about literally two minutes from bailing on dinner plans tonight. Literally literally, I was on the phone with my sis saying "how bad a person would I be if I bailed" based on an email someone sent that implied I was out of town.
But I went! And had a so so dinner, fantastic conversation, and 5 Sazeracs. Um.
