Every planet has its own weird customs. About a year before we met, I spent six weeks on a moon where the principal form of recreation was juggling geese. My hand to God. Baby geese. Goslings. They were juggled.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I think my only outlier issue is unusual sensitivity to cholesterol drugs. Taking them daily (as is normal) resulted in me healing really slowly, bruising at the slightest impact, and having worryingly elevated liver enzymes. Luckily half the frequency works fine with no side effects.

My parents, though, have had a number of medical oddities that have stumped doctors, including Mom having hooked carotid arteries that made it appear as if she had 90% blockages on both sides of the neck when she got a CAT scan, and doctors not being able to find Dad's gall bladder at all until they were actually performing surgery on it.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I had no idea the sinuses were so malleable.

Well, he did have to hit them fairly hard. (Not, like, hammering a nail into a wall, but harder than you would think for the human head. I may have to revise my opinion on trepanning.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

ION, uggghhh. My aunt just emailed me to invite me to my cousin's confirmation next weekend. (I've known for a couple of weeks that it was happening and why I didn't get an invitation, and that's fine.) But I have other plans! That I wanted to do! But family.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

OMG, y'all, thanks to the comments here re: last night's Raising Hope I moved it to the top of my catching-up-on-TV queue and it is awesome! I'm not even done with the first half-hour, yet, but I had to post.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

OMFG, I have to print out mortgage paperwork and get it sent today and SUDDENLY my computer has eaten the printer driver and refuses to talk to the printer. And then the .exe package for the driver is crashing. How does the universe know when its timing will be the suckiest?

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

No anatomical oddities here, at least none that a doctor has told me about.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

it is awesome!

It is totally entirely that. The rhythm of the two half hours are very different, but you can't do that first half hour forever.

Just found out I can't get a second key for my car, and the salesperson who said I could no longer works there (I spoke to him 2 weeks ago, didn't I?), but despite the other sales guy's quizzery they will re-cut one cheque I neglected to cash. I still want a second key, though.

That is always the way, Dana. Sorry.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Dana,

I had to print out my house docs at the Kinko's.
