Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There was supposed to be a call with the CIO at 4:15, and I'm sitting here with my dumb headphones on waiting to hit "answer", but...and there's no way this meeting gets to run late (she's in with the CEO before us, and her time is divvied up in quarter hour increments, unlike normal people). But I need to turn off soon...today has been intensely frustrating, and I need to blow off steam.

Our wings are not tired.

I GOT THAT POTTER PROM REFERENCE!! (This never gets old to me)

I love that it was actually a baseball she threw - that's so perfect.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Her older brother was an all-star too, so she knows from the ballfields. Also, her friend Sophie has been dating Emmett's friend on the team, Avery, since last Fall.

Teen drama! But the good kind.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, apparently I got one of the details wrong.
She didn't write the note on a wad of paper. She wrote it on a baseball and threw it to him.

Sounds like a catch!

Compassionately intolerant

She knows her target, has moxie, plans well and exudes confidence.

She should run for higher office.

eta: UGH, Zen. I see what you did there. But still, UGH.

I can't believe nobody else got to that one first.

Art Crawl!!!

Argh. Just discovered that while I thought I'd emailed an application for the apartment I saw on Saturday - the email is NOT in my sent mail.

Sent off a quick email and checked the "drafts" section - it was there, with the scanned application so I sent it off.

I hope I'm not too late.
