Natter 71: Someone is wrong on the Internet
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Note to Editor: you can save the "client wants this work done by 3/26" notice on the 90+ pieces of art that they haven't released specs for as of noon Sunday. If they'd gotten it to me by end-of-day Friday it might have been just barely possible, but they're going to have to live with the consequences of dragging their feet or settle for hasty stick figures instead of the quality of art they've come to expect.
Thank you, Dana!
David, there's also an LJ community called Vidding (IIRC), which would have links to all sorts of fanvids. Clicking on the Buffy tag should get you plenty of vids (although not all of them will be up to Laura's level).
Google up Heresluck's website--she also has some fantastic Buffy vids, including my very favorite Buffy/Faith vid, set to Tegan & Sara's "Superstar".
Thanks, Consuela. Her stuff is up at AO3 so I linked there.
Kate, it's got actual legs. Like a onesie? The tag calls it a sleeper, but maybe that's not the right term. Like this [link] but made of polar fleece type stuff.
Hmm, that probably would be a little too small for our purposes then. I'm also not crazy about putting Rose to sleep in fleece pajamas, since she overheats easily. For some reason it makes sense to me that her sleepsack (a wearable blanket) can be fleece, but not her pajamas. Anyway, thank you for offering!
My college friend's daughter has been blizzard blocked from going to a Con, so he's trying to make an in-house con for her.
Aw, good dad.
Jesse, I'm sorry about your disappointing DD breakfast! DD is totally my fast food guilty pleasure. It's probably just as well they're hard to find down here.
David - what a cool thing your college friend is doing for his daughter.
It's snowing. We're supposed to get 2 inches. I can't even.
Zen, we're supposed to get 3-6 inches. It's not even funny anymore. (Although a snow day tomorrow would be nice. God, I am so lazy.)
We just got back from the grocery store -- we normally go on Sundays, but usually much later in the evening (more like night, really). Except Snowmageddon is supposed to start around 8 pm. So we went early (but that was good, because it meant we could get stuff to make chili, so now the house smells SO GOOD).
I expected the grocery store to be slammed, but it was basically fine. What happened to this being a city full of people who overreact to the threat of flurries? I don't even know this town anymore, man.
In conclusion, FUCK THIS WEATHER. Also, I make good chili.
We got a good 8 inches this weekend (that's what she said) and another one or two are expected by tomorrow morning. I have happily been a hermit (the roads are pretty clear today, but I'm liking just being a homebody today).
