You got all kinds of learnin' and you made me look the fool without tryin', and yet here I am with a gun to your head. That's 'cause I got people with me. People who trust each other, who do for each other, and ain't always lookin' for the advantage.

Oh honey, the mentally unwell people have been in the fanbase since Game Changers was Stucky fanfiction on the internet. The calls have been coming from inside the house the whole time!

I need to remember to get some copies of The Watchtower to take with me and display prominently the next time I fly. Hopefully that will head off unwanted conversations via any seat-mates desperately trying to switch to an empty seat back by the restrooms.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I was told to say something besides rhubarb to simulate murmuring but I can't remember what it was. Watermelon? Bread and butter? Something. And I think there's a scene in a Steve Martin movie where the murmuring becomes distinguishable repeated words, but I can't remember the movie or the word.

Some days I just stay inside because outside someone might say hi to me and that's more conversation than I can deal with...nodding and/or waving I can generally handle, but there's something about verbal interaction.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I was told to say "peanut butter watermelon one two three."

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

"Peas and carrots, peas and carrots."

(Funny that all of these are food. Are drama teachers not getting enough to eat?)

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I HAVE SEEN THE NILLYNEWBORN & NILLY & NILLY'S PIBABY & FAMILY AND NOW I'M DEAD FROM CUTENESS.

There's also a pic for you, later, for the Nilly is very kind.

I can't stop smiling. Face almost hurts. So much to adore.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yay!

Thanks, Shir.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

NILLYNEWBORN SIGHTING! Yay, Shir, thanks for being our proxy.

I have had some super great conversations in airports/airplanes. Once I met a lady who was terrified of flying but loved loved SYTYCD and we spent the whole (truly horrible) flight distracting her and had a great convo. She lives in Santa Fe, and if it had been later, when social networking was prominent, I would definitely have kept touch with her. She was a Buffista spirit baby for sure.

Once I had a difficult but really good conversation with a bluesman who was flying home to attend the funeral of his brother who'd just been shot. He was this amazing, successful musician, and his brother was still stuck in the projects and was the victim of gang violence. Heartbreaking.

And this last time, I got into this really fun, life-affirming sort of freewheeling conversation with a woman who was headed back home to India for the first time since she'd been married (in the States, but to the appropriate, parentally approved person, ha!) who does clinical oncology studies and a guy from New York who runs a veterans advocacy program.

Afterwards I got on the plane and was all, "Who am I?"

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I'm a headphones in, book to read, don't talk to me flyer. Shoot, even when I have to turn off all my electronic devices, I leave the headphones in. In the airport, on the other hand, I don't mind being social. Maybe cause I can walk away if need be.

NILLYNEWBORN!!!

I have over 30 hours on my timesheet and it isn't even mid-day Wednesday yet. I'm hoping (really hoping) I can take Friday off. I'm still helping to cover for one of my PMs who is out on berevement. He is due back tomorrow.
