Okay, so I finished making my hot hide glue pot! I need to actually replace my crockpot, since I did the mods to it before I actually bought a new one, but hey, priorities!

I was appalled to learn I was an alto in junior high. I think I assumed girls were supposed to be sopranos. But I like my voice now, even if it makes it hard to sing along with some artists.

Sopranos really can be unsufferable. ISTG, the more elite the group, the more likely the altos are like chatting and knitting while the sopranos are singing high notes to themselves in a corner.

I was an alto in middle school, but I sang first soprano in college oratorio choir. I was one of the few non-music department people in the choir, and hte other sopranos occaasionally gave me dirty looks I didn't understand.

I know, right? Again, I blame Matt. I'm using the hide glue to attach the fretboard and the bracing for the underside to support the neck where I'm attaching the magnetic pickups. I know, it's all gotten a little out of control, and we're not even to building the preamp yet!

But my blues hero, and the guy that taught me, just complimented my (mission) work on my cigar box nation profile, so I'll be happy all day, even if what happens next is a gluey irreparable mess!

I am totally okay with being a cranky old loner. I have people in my life who are important to me, like all y'all, and I don't need every person to like me or for me to like them. And I have other cranky old loners to hang out with, like the dude I'm building the guitar for. Which I realize is not how that stuff is supposed to work, but it does, so.
