Tomorrow I am making an appointment with an osteopath to check my thyroid again. There has to be something wrong.
Natter 71: Someone is wrong on the Internet
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Sounds like your boss could use a new personality.
while I agree with Scrappy wholeheartedly, I think Jesse's question is more doable in the short-term.
Jilli alert: today's inventory was Forever 21, and they had quite a lot of B&W stripey stuff and a black and pink stripey blazer that I had to bring to your attention - they were folded up and I didn't get a good look at them, but cupcake pink and black in circus tent stripes definitely caught my eye.
Ooooh. I wonder if it would fit me. I know from experience that F21 sizing runs small.
I haven't worn any of my pink & black blazers in AGES, mostly because they're a bit snug right now.
msbelle, your boss is something else. I hope he doesn't take his lapses out on you.
so I am watching this week's "Totally Biased" and Don Cheadle (!) was the guest (!!). He was an awesome guest. If you all like Don Cheadle or need a little laughter in your life, check out this ep.
I have been there and back in the snow. I think hitting 30 mph for a couple minutes was the fastest part of the trip. A few good fishtails kept me hyper alert. My Mustang is not a good snow car at all but at least it has traction control. The flakes are still falling.
I don't think I've ever measured chili powder in my life, but 1/4c per batch sounds about right to me. I don't think of chili powder as adding heat, generally, that's what the extra cayenne is for.
Sounds like your boss could use a new personality.
Also that, absolutely.
JZ, I have now read the story on LJ, and I left you a comment there but I'll say it here, that's fantastic! I love it. You did a great job of showing us what that world was like instead of a lot of exposition, and the characters are instantly likeable and engaging.
But she uses a technique where she basically tatts a gazillion single hairs (feather) instead of an entire area like I got before. I'm saving up for it.
There's a woman here in C'ville who does that technique. I'm not sure. I'm afraid it'd look strange up close.
Only twice as much isn't a little! Twice as much seasoning is a lot!
I said it was a significant increase. I stand by my "maybe not too much", though. Sometimes doubling a spice works out exactly right.
I'm making over a gallon of chicken stock right now and I have no idea what herbs and spices to put in. Some bay leaves and whole peppercorns, because that's automatic, but seems paltry. It does have carrots and onions and celery, already, and a presumably flavorful stewing hen as well as leftover roasted bones, so maybe that's enough? I guess I can always add something later if it needs it.
