Matt Bomer saying, "I love you, Meow Meow," and his phone replying, "Meow meow," was just about perfect.
But yeah, that whole thing was pretty much from outer space.

Should Simon be concerned?
Um. Wow. That was bizarre. And I still think of Tim DeKay as Jonesy fromCarnivale, and somehow that makes it weirder
Am finally at urgent care.
argh I'm trying hard not to get spoiled for stupid Downton but it's impossible! Even with whitefonting I can figure out what happened. Stupid being stupidly behind! (aka living with someone who doesn't watch the show so I only watch when he is out of town and he hasn't traveled as much this year so far which is, generally, AWESOME except that I haven't had a chance to catch up on my stories!!)

We have a hawk who hangs out around the block. I hope he's taking care of rats, raptor style! I got super excited when he was perched in the tree right outside our house the other morning. So majestic!
I wonder if it is one of those that nests behind my work. Certainly close enough! Is it a big hawk, or smallish? The big ones at work are red shouldered hawks.
I see smallish ones in my hood. One time I even saw one grasping a rat in its talons.

I think it's smallish or, possibly, young. And I don't think it's a redtail. I see hawks almost every day perched in trees on the way to/from work. It gives me a thrill every time!

I saw one swoop in and grab a squirrel in Roland Park once!
Good luck at urgent care, msbelle. I love the one near us so much I've stopped going to my regular doctor for sick visits, since they can never see me till days later, either. When Stephen was so sick at Christmas (adult male, labored breathing, 102 temps) they couldn't see him for three days. I was like, IT COULD BE TOO LATE THEN, FOOLS.
I just played the red-shouldered call here [link] and Pumpkin became very agitated and was nosing the laptop. Ditto the red-tailed!
I think the resident birder identified 'emt as the red shoulder, not red-tail.
Steroid shot IN THE ASS which mac thinks is the funniest thing ever.
