I'm editing several pieces about hydraulic fracturing. My brain went numb 500 words ago.
See, I'd enjoy that.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Thanks, Tom. That article seems to put a weird amount of responsibility for the plot onto actors and not writers for a bit, but I think this is an interesting criticism of a narrative:
puts the responsibility of [...] processing [...] on the viewers, not on the show, which is where it belongs.
And that's an interesting thing to keep in mind, from a meta, analysis point of view.
See, I'd enjoy that.
It actually got better as he started to explain the process and the terms, but first thing on a Monday I could use something like celebrity gossip to wake me up.
I'm editing a writer now who includes sentences like this:
But besides aiming to heighten enrollment rates, schools are often required to urge and encourage current students to complete their programs of study. In this way, a sufficient number of conferred graduates could make for better reputations and augment the tradition of competition among all universities and colleges positively.
I want to strangle him. Or possibly beat him to death with Strunk and White.
I'm editing an article by authors who make abbreviations plural by adding apostrophe + s, yet when they use a possessive (like "the patient's therapy"), they don't use an apostrophe.
FIST OF DEATH.
Yikes, Amy. "...to urge and encourage"? People, if you can say it with just one word, do! edit: and double yikes to Steph!
I haven't watched Downton Abbey yet, but have been amused at all the angsty posts on FB. It's reminding me there really aren't many shows that I'm watching these days, and even fewer (just one!) that I'm current on.
Super Bowl Sunday was hilarious on FB -- the posts just kind of alternated: Super Bowl, Downton Abbey, Super Bowl, Super Bowl, Downton Abbey, self-important post about how THEY don't watch sports OR own a TV, Downton Abbey, Downton Abbey, Super Bowl.
Also some Puppy Bowl.
I just found Leverage reruns somewhere on my tv dial, so I set up a seasopn pass for them. I have no idea where I was in the viewing before i hit the end of what Netflix had, but I hope I get there soon with this airings. As it is, I will watch an episode until I realize I've seen it before and then erase it. soon I will reach the point of new stuff.
Also started taping Austin City Limits.
"heighten" enrollment rates? Do they mean increase?
Okay, seriously? I just finished watching Downton and am very annoyed.
Downton Abbey ire is making me wonder when is the earliest set (rather than used) incarnation of the hit by a bus/ambulance (to give nod to Wonderfalls) out of nowhere death is. I did see a supercut recently, but I think that everyone who's made at Downton Abbey should be glad that didn't happen instead. Though, admittedly, it seems you were a hair's breadth (still lobbying for hare's breath, but no one's listening...) away. And to be fair to the Wonderfalls ambulance that wasn't purely out of nowhere, which made it funnier.
I need some help, guys--I am running out of reference pictures for couple posing. At least ones that are working for me. Does anyone happen to be sitting on anything I could use for my drawings?
