Um, well, we listened to aggressively cheerful music sung by people chosen for their ability to dance. Then we ate cookie dough, and talked about boys.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, that's super great, Zen. I would love to pay off this sucker. (And not by using life insurance, fates.)

Zen, that's wonderful! Bless your mom's vision and your follow through.

Your house is lovely, comfy and full of great storage already. Getting the attic fixed up would be a nice bonus.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I took my father to brunch and shoveled in front of their house and the neighbors', in hopes that someone else will deal with the driveway. I have shoveled more in the past two weeks than in the past 15 years.

Now laundry and lounging.

Musikalicen Opfer

ordered some fretwire and a fret saw. (I blame your husband for this latter, Beth) Which totally counts as work.

Totally is work. And you want to get a cheap hardware-store-plastic-faced hammer, too; metal hammers + frets are Not A Good Mix, unless filing ALL THE METAL until the board is flat is your idea of a good time. Which I'm pretty sure it isn't, because you're a musician, and you want to play, you know? Even though fret dust DOES look like glitter.....

And I will totally get you that schematic, too, for the active/passive config. Sorry it's taken so long.....

I treated last night as if it was Sunday evening...finished most of the weekend tasks.

Today, I've taken care of a friend's guinea pigs, walked Cagney twice, despite the ghastly cold, and finished a couple loads of laundry.

I should have gone veggie shopping, but think I'll get by with what I have instead.

I am STILL resisting writing a letter I really, really need to finish. I'm consoling myself that tomorrow is a holiday anyway, so...

Which is lame, considering I ought to have finished it a month ago. The day is not over so...

And yet, all I want to do is take a nap.

This is a TOTAL avoidance ploy, since setting up my standing desk has made naps virtually unnecessary anymore.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

That reminds me, rings like these always make me think of you guys.

A mobius ring would definitely be cool.

Will do.

True facts!

Heh, the project with the kids is going so great, Matt. They are going nuts over it, and they're doing so well. No maimings yet! Next week will be an exciting week, I think, because we'll be to assembly and stringing for the younger kids and will be starting electronics with the older ones.

And I will totally get you that schematic, too, for the active/passive config. Sorry it's taken so long.....

That would be great. But no worries about the delay, I just got the film piezos in last week, and I'm still waiting on the hide glue. I found a great tutorial using the crockpot...and the one in the picture was exactly my crockpot. So I have successfully convinced the SO that buying me a new crockpot so I can use the old one to warm hide glue was a good use of resources.

So the SO's bass and our buddy Sammy's bass are both on hold until I can get that going.

Anyway, the little film piezos, the site says are too delicate to solder and I should use a conductive epoxy to attach the leads. Do you know where I can buy conductive epoxy? I probably should have just bought the next step up, which is what I did now for the older kids, but I still want to be able to use the little ones.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh bonny, I wanted to say that I share your enjoyment of Live at Daryl's House. He just seems so happy!
