Yeesh! Good luck with the rest of the travel, Scrappy. Adventures are rarely fun when you're having them....
Speaking of adventure, I'm trying to decide whether to attempt driving to the Catskills this morning or not, because the snow is a-blowing, but the worst of it is supposed to be over by noon -- and it's moving west-to-east, which means the further west I drive, the better it should get. (The Catskills aren't supposed to get anything.)
In good news, my early morning wandering a have revealed a small spa right here in the airport. There will be massage in my future, I promise you.
Oh jeez, Scrappy. A massage sounds like just the ticket.
Timelines all!
It is snowing here. I foresee much take-out in my future.( Luckily our flight isn't until tomorrow.)
Poor Scrappy! A massage sounds too right, right about now.
What a bother.
I wish there had been a spa at Heathrow the time I was stranded there overnight because 'they had a plane but now crew' despite having sold out the plane.
All I got was a voucher for beans on toast.
Yeesh.
I'm having a bit of envy over Sheryl's snow forecast. We've been promised snow for days with nary a flake.
This morning, I looked out and the bright, clear skies nearly fooled me. I had the presence of mind to check weather.com to find out it 'felt like 19' out.
Maybe if you were standing still, it felt like 19. Walking to a friend's house to take care of her guinea pigs, the wind came up so sharply, my face froze. Thank goodness I'd put my snow pants on.
Cagney was wearing layers...a polo shirt under a fleece vest and he was still shivering.

I'm sure everyone else is way ahead of this curve, but I just found Live from Daryl's House.
Daryl Hall has combined the best of everything in his life into a web series of interviews/mini concerts/food demos from his NY farm.
The link above goes directly to his collaboration with Jason Mraz on "I won't give up." It's like church. I'm a supersucker for gospel-sounding anthems.
Other guests range from Booker T. to Joe Walsh to new bands I've not yet heard of. Just a bunch of people doing what they love.
Massage while stuck at an airport was worth every penny, in my experience!
I'm still at home and won't be going anywhere...
I have a massage appointment this afternnon. I'm SO looking forward to it. All the stress of the last few weeks has been sitting in my shoulders and neck.
So, remember my pouting last week that my dad didn't call on my birthday and then I sent him a fussy e-mail? Since then he left me a message, apologizing that he had been in the mountains and would respond to my e-mail. I haven't gotten an e-mail response, but I did get a card from him and his wife. It was very sweet and just what I needed. He was mushy (which he never is) and said that the enclosed check was for me to "treat myself and buy something special". Dad, giving me money not earmarked for a practical purpose - who is this man.

That's really nice, Suzi. He might not want to talk about it but he seems to have heard you and is trying. Which, really, is a lovely thing. I hope it makes you feel better.
I love Trader Joe's daffodils. All of their flowers that I get, really. But the daffs are just great way to remember it's Spring-ish. And, like their wines, they are a dollar less in California. So I always seem to have fresh flowers because my Mom shows up with something every week or two. And alstroemeria last forever if they weren't crushed.
I have a Sunday with nothing I have to do. No hundreds of miles of driving. I am thinking nap. My couch is fairly loudly suggesting it.
