I thought it was Michael Savage and the autism thing (and ADHD thing), not Dan Savage. Dan Savage's area, I thought was more sex advice less ed policy?

Calli, that article is about Michael Savage, not Dan Savage.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Yeah, the autism thing was Michael Savage. Dan Savage blamed Proposition 8 on black people, and said a bunch of things that I don't remember right now that lots of people thought were transphobic, and I think he was the one who said that a woman shouldn't feel badly if her husband wouldn't have sex with her while she was pregnant, because pregnant bodies are all weird and gross and no one should be expected to have sex with that.

There's also the dismissive comments about asexuals and bisexuals. And, just generally, he comes across as sort of anti-woman in the way that many gay man can and do.

Ah, okay. Sorry--a little savage confusion there.

Posting from the lobby of the Boskone hotel(the only place where the wi-fi is free). So far the con has been fun, and I've run into Theo and Sox.

(although, thanks to some random FB sidebar ad, I am craving steamed dumplings big time -- it's the random cravings for things with no readily available substitute that still kill me).

I was just at the health food store, and they had some frozen gluten-free dumplings. And I thought, "I should remember that brand name," and I've totally forgotten it. It was something like Healthful Living, but that wasn't it exactly.

I'm going to curl up with my cats for a bit, I think. I was going to be all proactive and go to the pool before the kid bday party, but just was not feeling it. Will have to leave the party a little early, but that's ok.
