There must be some way to turn this epic struggle to be able to keep doing your job (which you are doing well and which needs to be done) to your advantage. Novel? Screenplay? Something. It's truly unbelievable and that ought to be worth something.
Natter 71: Someone is wrong on the Internet
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
It's Catch-22 for a new era.

Office Space 2:Even Spacier?
No.
Okay.
You do know about Lauren Lauren, right?
I do now. I probably heard about it at the time and promptly forgot.

It really is!
I am also surprisingly kind of charmed by the Bush paintings. Not at all what I expected.
I actually felt bad for him. Some jackass hacker does this, and every news org posts them. Rude. I mean, maybe if they were important emails, saying "I bribed a judge to steal the election, hahaha" then I could support but as is, it's just shitty. And enough of us deal with sad using humor that I can't hate on the funeral emails either.
...may this be the last time I ever feel a need to defend George W Bush, please god.
I kind of like the paintings. At least, they are pretty much my favorite thing about him, and they make me like him and view him as a deeper person than I had thought.
I don't think hacking into private email accounts is optimal, and I think the exposure of private email messages is not a trend I would like to see going forward.
That said, I don't really feel sorry for GWB. So he has a few days of embarrassment with people discussing his paintings. Oh well. The Iraq War (just to name one) is so much worse than that. Not to excuse the hacker's actions, but I can't really get riled.
Dear Carnival Cruise "survivors":
The people in the Superdome after Katrina say, "Let me wipe away the tears with my plastic hand."
Consuela - I can't even, on your behalf. Just... Ugggg.
In more uggggg news - no washer/dryer until Monday. That means I need to make a laundromat run today/tomorrow. Crap. Suzi is not happy.
KCD dropped by to give me child support and we had a mutual grumble about how we think K-Bug is making a big mistake. On one hand, yes, she is old enought to be on her own and all that. But neither KCD or I like the bf and are worried that K-Bug is going to take on the financial load. He has only had his job for a few weeks and I know of two things that, if I were his boss, should be firing offenses. And I know the boss knows about at least one of the things. But after having him live here and having to deal with the two of them, I'm SO ready for them to live somewhere else.
