THINGS NOT TO TELL YOUR MOTHER
There's a sub-category of Things You Told Your Mother and She Forgot, which is even more fraught. The other night Dad called me and put her on the phone so she could yell at me for selling their condo without telling her about it. Fun times!
IONallaboutme, I just learned that the period of performance for my contract is up at the end of this month, although there's enough money to keep it going for another six or eight weeks. But between that and the looming sequestration/furloughs/hiring freeze, even if they do want to hire me, they may not be able to. Joy.
Good lord, Consuela. I am aghast.
Jesus, Consuela. I'm sorry.
The other night Dad called me and put her on the phone so she could yell at me for selling their condo without telling her about it.
First line of defence failed here. Yikes. But more yikes about the lovely morass of rules regs and requirements that make doing your job harder than not.
I don't know what to make of the paintings, but this is what struck me:
Correspondence obtained by the hacker indicates that at least six separate e-mail accounts have been compromised, including the AOL account of Dorothy Bush Koch, daughter of George H.W. Bush and sister of George W. Bush.
Koch? As in *that* Koch family? How did I not know this?
Consuela,
I read your post and literally put my head in my hands right afterward.
Koch? As in *that* Koch family?
No.
You do know about Lauren Lauren, right?
I read your post and literally put my head in my hands right afterward.
Thanks. I just... I hate to use tumblr-speak, but I can't even. It's just so frakking ridiculous.
I do think they should be able to extend the period of performance, but if there's an indefinite hiring freeze as a result of sequestration I don't know what to do.
'Suela, I think you should just ask if you're being punked. Because it's starting to seem like the only possibility.
I really wish that the articles just mentioned the paintings and the hacking and didn't go into detail about the emails back and forth about GHWB. That feels like such an invasion of privacy to me.
