Look, you got a little stabbed the other day. That's bound to make anyone a mite ornery.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am lobbying to move locations at work. I currently do calendars and basic support for 2 VPs and 4 Directors. They do not all office in the same building. Our campus is 5 buildings laid out in a circle (parking and a lunch area in the middle). So right now, I support people in 3 dirrent buildings. Until recently, the building I am in had 3 of them, and the majority of the non-directors in the department. But now there has been a move and another building has 3, but a smaller number of non-directors in our department. So if I stay here, what I fear is more and more of my time being used up by non-directors stopping and asking for things that they should really be doing themselves (ordering lunches, faxing, scheduling meetings, finding people). Case-in-point a guy from one division of our department just came and asked if I could move the dates of this 2-day meeting his division is having in a couple of months. He should only be asking me to do that as a directive of his boss, the Director of the division - but...I dare not assume and so I ask "have you ben asked to do this by X?" no, he has not. "Have you discussed it with him at all?" no, he has not. DUDE, it is NOT my meeting. It is not YOUR meeting. It is your BOSSES meeting and I will only change the date of it , or anything about it, with his instruction. Totally interrupted my task, took no more than 5 minutes, but got me out of the screens I was working on....just crap like that all day if I stay here.

And now I need to curse at y'all for a bit, mainly Jesse. With your responsible fiscall yaya talk earlier, I went and looked at my budget and damn if I haven't already spent my monthly eating out budget. That seriously sucks. Half a month, no eating out? While I might barely survive that, mac will very likely call the UN human rights council. POOP!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Happy birthday, Connie!

Oo, that's a great idea, msbelle. The photo sess that it, although the idea of moving buildings to avoid time wasters is also an excellent plan.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

With your responsible fiscall yaya talk earlier, I went and looked at my budget and damn if I haven't already spent my monthly eating out budget.

I was just thinking maybe I should have a budget, so.

And OK, as long as the people involved think the photos are funny....

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That is such a sweet and good-humoured shoot! And good on a family who can adopt their first non-biological child as their sixth kid. That is not messing around. Those are people whoo are into parenting, and bless that.

Lying down made me feel so much better. Our office building sent out a questionnaire today, and one of the questions was "would you use/appreciate a quiet room?" I'm going to have to vote yes on that, especially since I haven't worked out if it's appropriate to beg fifteen minutes in the mothering room (feels weird...).
