I happen to watch Rubio's response to SOTU and it was filled with lies. On top of that his delivery was really awful. People were comparing him to an undertaker, and that's probably about right.

And then something extraordinary happened. Rubio, in the middle of a sentence, leans over, to the edge of the camera shot and down -

And I was gripped with suspense. What is this going to be? A prop? A chart? a cat? And he takes a drink from one of those itty bitty Poland Spring water bottles.

I completely lost it. I thought it was the funniest damn thing I had seen in awhile. Most of it was the staging and the unexpected nature of it. Why they didn't have a small table near him with a nice glass of water is beyond me.

Oh no; that was this morning, and I was trying to hustle his butt out the door so I could take him to work and I could go get some paczki.

I'm a damn romantic, huh?

He proposed tonight, after we got home from having dinner with friends (it's a long-standing thing; we have dinner with this group of friends every month on the 2nd Tuesday, and he didn't want to cancel tonight's dinner because he thought that would be suspicious and give it away).
